Lunch Program

Our PTA Lunch Program provides a daily variety of nutritious and delicious meals for our children. The Program complies with the new nutritional regulations while providing the best for our children.

We are now required by California State Law to provide a minimum amount of: calories (664!), protein (10 grams), calcium (286 milligrams), iron (3.5 milligrams), vitamin C (15 milligrams) and vitamin A (224 Retinol Equivalents (RE). At the same time, this meal must contain less than thirty percent of calories from fat, and less than ten percent of calories from saturated fat. Lunches are completely nut-free, trans-fat free, reasonably priced and appealing to our kids.

Managed by the PTA Lunch Bunch committee, the success of our program is dependent upon parent volunteers to help serve lunch daily. The Lunch Program is our number two PTA fundraiser, significantly contributing to ability to finance the broad array of PTA-sponsored programs we provide at Park School.
